What the service includes
We tint every window behind the front doors: the rear side windows, the small quarter windows (where the car has them) and the rear window. We use professional SUN TEK films. Nothing on the car is taken apart, and tinting the rear windows takes about 3 hours.
We work on all kinds of cars: from compact hatchbacks and estates to SUVs, luxury saloons and vans. More strongly curved glass takes more time and precision, but the end result has to be the same: flat, clean film that stays put for years.
Why tint the rear windows
- UV protection: quality films block 99% of harmful ultraviolet rays.
- Less heat: the film blocks up to 60% of the total heat, and the air conditioning has less work to do.
- Privacy and security: the cabin and anything left inside are harder to see from outside.
- Safety: the adhesive layer holds the glass together if it breaks and protects passengers from injury.
- Comfort for rear passengers: especially children, who quickly get restless in direct sunlight.
- Interior and looks: the upholstery and plastics don't fade, and the car looks sharper.
Factory-tinted glass is not the same. Most modern cars come with factory-tinted glass (green or blue), and some with factory-darkened rear windows. That extra gives no real heat protection, though. Window film does.
The law and the rear windows
Under the Bulgarian Road Traffic Act, with two side mirrors there is no limit on how dark the rear of the car can be tinted. You'll find more details in our article on the legal requirements.
Which percentage to choose
We most often fit 5%, 15%, 20% and 35%. The lower the number, the darker the film. Compare the percentages in our tint simulator or read the guide to choosing a percentage. We'll also show you samples at the shop.
After fitting
Don't lower the door windows for 3 to 7 days, depending on the season. That's how long it takes for the remaining moisture to evaporate and the film to fully bond. See all our aftercare tips.
